The annual Nundle Chinese Go For Gold Festival is held every Easter (22 and 23 March this year) and includes two days of family fun and festivities within the village of Nundle. This festival acknowledges Nundle’s rich gold mining history, particularly the contributions made by the early Chinese gold miners. It is also a showcase for our local businesses and provides a chance for local and visiting food, produce and craft people to display and sell their wares.
Free entertainment includes live music, performances by a leading Chinese kung fu, dance and acrobatics troupe, children’s variety shows, a sheep shearing competition, an historic shearing display and much, much more! There is an interactive gold-panning activity where you can learn to pan, and even find your very own piece of GENUINE NUNDLE GOLD!
